IPOH, Sept 28 — Anyone who wish to develop reserved land that belongs to the state can submit an application at the District and Land Office and adhere to the established procedures.

Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad however said, they have not been informed about an application by Perak FC chairman, Datuk Seri Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi who had expressed his intention to build a stadium and a training centre for the state football club.

“We understand that many parties have applied to build schools, houses of worship, recreation centres and other facilities but they have to follow the procedures set by the government. Take for example Perak FC’s intention to build a stadium and a training centre in Chepor.

“The application will have to be channelled to the Manjoi District and Land office and include technical departments like the Public Works Department (PWD), Youth and Sports Department, Lembaga Air Perak and other relevant departments before the Land and Mines (PTG) office gives its approval for us to bring the proposal to the state assembly.

“If all these technical departments have no obstacles, then the PTG will recommend to the state government for approval, but we cannot approve immediately because procedures need to be followed,” he said after attending an event here today.

Abdul Azim had yesterday expressed his intention to provide the best infrastructure to his players in an effort to bring back the glory days of Perak football.
