JAKARTA, Oct 2 — At least 127 people have died after a riot during a football match in Indonesia’s Malang in East Java province on Saturday evening, Indonesian police said on Sunday, reported Xinhua.

Provincial police chief Nico Afinta said at a press conference that the supporters of one team did not accept the defeat at a game and climbed over the fence and entered the soccer field in large numbers, resulting in a stampede and clashes with the police, leaving 125 supporters and two police officers killed.
