KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 15 — Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today visited the Baladna Food Industries in Doha, Qatar, which is among the largest dairy product manufacturing companies in the West Asian region.

His Majesty was accompanied by the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Malaysian Ambassador to Qatar Zamshari Shaharan.

According to a post on the Istana Negara Facebook page, His Majesty was greeted upon arrival at 10 am local time, by Baladna Food Industries managing director Ramez Al Khayyat and the company’s top management.

“His Majesty received a briefing by Ramez Al Khayyat regarding the operation of Baladna Food Industries,” read the post.

His Majesty also explored the company’s premises.

Baladna Food Industries is one of the largest dairy product manufacturing companies in the West Asian region with an area of 2.6 million square metres with 24,000 dairy cows.

Today’s visit to Baladna Food Industries is part of His Majesty’s itinerary for his six-day special visit to Qatar beginning Dec 13.

The visit is at the personal invitation of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in conjunction with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the country.

The king is also scheduled to grant an audience with several Qatari leaders and attend a gathering with the Malaysian diaspora in Qatar as part of the special visit.

His Majesty is scheduled to return home on Dec 19.
