CAMERON HIGHLANDS, Jan 6 — Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today performed Friday prayers at the Abu Bakar Mosque here.

The arrival of Al-Sultan Abdullah at 1.25 pm at the mosque was greeted by Pahang Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and State Secretary, Datuk Seri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak.

The special Friday sermon, entitled Integrity at Work, was delivered by the Cameron Highlands kadi, Mohd Khalil Mohd Zari Al Hafiz, who also led the Friday prayers consisting of about 800 congregants.

Mohd Khalil, in his sermon, invited the congregation to work together to improve integrity at work which is honest, transparent and trustworthy; someone who always likes to do good deeds to achieve the pleasure of Allah and Prophet Muhammad.

Later, Al-Sultan Abdullah spent time mingling with the congregants before presenting His Majesty’s personal donations, as well as daily essentials contributed by Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP), to a total of 61 asnaf (those eligible to receive zakat or tithe) at the mosque grounds.
