GEORGE TOWN, Jan 10 — Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) preparations to face the six state elections (PRN), including the distribution of seats, are 80 per cent complete, said its deputy chairman Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.

He said discussions for the state elections had been held with the component parties in the coalition during the 15th General Election (GE15) last year.

“It can be said that 80 per cent of our preparations have been completed and the next move is to refine our strategy,” he told a press conference at the Penang Gerakan headquarters here, last night.

Earlier, Abdul Hadi,  who is PAS president, held a dialogue with Gerakan leaders including its chairman Datuk Dr Dominic Lau and Penang chairman Oh Tong Keong.

The six states that will hold their elections this year are Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan and Terengganu.

Commenting on the dialogue, Abdul Hadi said it was aimed at strengthening the relationship between PN party and Gerakan, as well as to provide accurate information on related issues, including Islamophobia.
