When delivering his speech themed “The Future of Asean” at a gathering with captains of industry and the business community in Bangkok on Friday (Feb 10), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim proposed that the idea for an Asian Monetary Fund (AMF) be revisited to strengthen the buffer against economic crises.
