Officials in Turkey say 113 arrest warrants have been issued in connection with the construction of buildings that collapsed in Monday’s earthquake. Nearly 30,000 people are now known to have died following the quakes in Turkey and Syria. Rescue missions continue in both countries, but the chances of finding survivors is fading each day. Foreign aid continues to arrive, but rescuers and medics are being hampered by unrest in southern Turkey. Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned he will use emergency powers to punish those breaking the law.
