A young girl was pulled from the ruins of a collapsed building in Hatay on Sunday (Feb 12) – 150 hours after earthquakes hit Turkiye and Syria, but such scenes are becoming rare as the number of dead climbs relentlessly. The toll in both countries rose to nearly 34,000 on Monday (Feb 13) – seven days after the initial 7.8 magnitude quake.
