KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 – Citaglobal Bhd, formerly known as WZ Satu Bhd, has secured a RM200 million contract from Mutiara Perlis Sdn Bhd for the development of the Sanglang Integrated Jetty project (Sanglang project) in Perlis.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Citaglobal said the contract will be undertaken by wholly-owned unit Citaglobal Engineering Services Sdn Bhd, which was appointed as the project’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.

Citaglobal said the group’s existing order book will increase to RM933.2 million with this award from RM733.2 million previously.

According to the company, the full development of the Sanglang project is divided into four phases, namely Phase 1A, Phase 1B, Phase 2 and Phase 3.

The contract sum of Phase 1A is RM200 million, while the contract sum for the other phases has yet to be determined.

“Citaglobal will first finalise the award to execute Phase 1A of this project,” it said, adding that the project is expected to contribute positively to the consolidated earnings, earnings per share and net assets of the group.

The Sanglang project is developed under the Perlis Maritime Corridor, which aims to facilitate state development in terms of logistics, tourism, aquaculture and fisheries.

The project will provide jetty facilities for berthing of merchant ships, luxury cruises and yachts, deep-sea fish and oil and gas, and provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for merchant ships.
