JOHOR BAHRU, April 10 — A total of 50 families in need around Senai received donations in the form of vouchers worth RM5,000 to spend at Hwa Thai supermarket in TJ Mart, Saleng in Kulai recently.

Deputy Communications and Digital Minister Teo Nie Ching said the contributions were handed to the recipients at an event held last Saturday as a result of a partnership between the Kulai parliamentary constituency service centre and Hwa Thai supermarket in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

The Kulai MP expressed her hope that the donations would help reduce the burdens of the families in preparing for the upcoming festivities.

“We hope that this partnership will continue in the future to help even more families in need,” she said in a statement today.

Teo also announced that her constituency service centre had previously presented Mydin Kulai vouchers to 20 families in need, as well as distributed bubur lambuk and dates in her constituency.
