KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah received a farewell visit from outgoing Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) vice-chancellor Lt Gen Datuk Hasagaya Abdullah at Istana Negara today.
Hasagaya, who assumed the position of UPNM’s 6th vice-chancellor on Dec 19, 2020, will end his service with the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) on June 19, after three years of service with the university.
“His Majesty, as the Supreme Commander of the MAF and UPNM Chancellor, expresses his highest appreciation and gratitude for the services and devotion of Lt Gen Datuk Hasagaya Abdullah to the force, UPNM and the country,” according to a post on Istana Negara’s Facebook page.
