JOHOR BAHRU, June 29 — The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar has bestowed 100 cows for the sacrificial rite or ‘korban’ in conjunction with Aidiladha today.
Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi in a post on his Facebook page tonight thanked the Sultan for his benevolent act, adding that the cows had been distributed to districts and agencies throughout Johor, with the meat to be handed over to the needy.
“I and all of the people of Johor pray that His Majesty and the entire Royal Family of Johor will always be protected by Allah, and be blessed with grace, glory, good health, and longevity to rule Johor with progress and prosperity,” he said.
Onn Hafiz also hoped that the kind gesture from the Sultan would help cheer up all the recipients during this festive period.
