NEW YORK, Sept 15 — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea, at 19:58:40 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
According to Xinhua, the epicentre, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 6.13 degrees south latitude and 149.38 degrees east longitude.
