KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 — The new chief executive officer (CEO) of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will be announced in due course after the appointment of Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan as Finance Minister II, effective today. 

In a statement today, the EPF said Amir Hamzah has played a pivotal role in the fund’s growth and success throughout his tenure as CEO. 

It said that Amir Hamzah’s key achievements include steering the EPF through various economic cycles and challenges and consistently achieving positive growth in investment income. 

“The EPF board, management and employees congratulate Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah for the appointment as the Minister of Finance II and are confident that his leadership will contribute significantly to the economic development of the nation,” EPF said.
