BEIJING, Jan 16 – Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for strengthening patriotic and reunification forces in an article to be published in key party magazine Qiushi.
The call follows victory of William Lai in Taiwanese presidential election, who says island already independent sovereign state
An article on the Party’s united front work in the new era by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, will be published on Tuesday.
In the article, Xi stressed that since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the Party has made comprehensive plans on the united front work and pushed forward the work to achieve historic progress.
Among others, Xi noted that a united front work in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan and among overseas Chinese should be improved to rally support;
