SHAH ALAM, March 25 – The World #QuranHour, now in its ninth year, will be held at the National Mosque on April 4, with the theme ‘Ummah #GrandReset: Unity and Social Transformation’.

Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) chief executive officer Marhaini Yusoff said as the organiser of the event, WUIF had chosen Surah al-Jumu’ah as the selected surah, among others, to foster understanding and stimulate positive change and transformation in society on a global level.

She also expressed hope for a continuous commitment from local media agencies and platforms to promote the World #QuranHour.

“The integration of media has generated an impact on the development of the Quranic wave from Malaysia to the entire world. Since its inception in 2015, social media reach has surged to 6.62 billion last year,” she said.

Scheduled to be held from noon to 1 pm, the World #QuranHour programme, which will feature recitations by qaris, tadabbur, and resolutions from Surah al-Jumu’ah, will be broadcast live on Facebook by Sinar Harian and QuranHour.
