KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 – Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, led a CPC delegation on a visit to Malaysia from Thursday to Friday.

During the visit, Liu called on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as they discussed the upcoming official visit by Premier Li Qiang in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China bilateral ties this year.

Liu also held discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook and Secretary-General of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

Later Liu also attended the Silk Road and Asian Civilization Forum held in Kuala Lumpur.
