ABU DHABI, April 17 – Due to adverse weather conditions including heavy rain in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, some Etihad Airways flights may face delays, reported the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

“Guests are advised to regularly check etihad.com for the latest information on their flight departures and to allow plenty of time to travel to the airport,” said the airline.

“Etihad will work closely with guests affected by any disruptions to assist them with changes to their itineraries and to help them reach their final destinations.

“The safety and comfort of our guests and crew are our top priorities, and we regret any inconvenience caused,” the airline added in a statement.

Earlier, WAM reported that due to adverse weather conditions, multiple Emirates flights to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) are experiencing delays or disruptions, according to an update published by the company on its official X account.

“We are working diligently to get all affected passengers to their final destinations safely and will provide updates as soon as possible,” the company added.

In a related development, a flydubai spokesperson said that severe weather conditions across the UAE on Tuesday have caused significant disruption to the airline’s operations at DXB.

“As a result, many flydubai flights have been cancelled or have experienced extensive delays. The severe weather conditions are expected to continue throughout the night and into Wednesday (17 April).”
