PUTRAJAYA, Aug 18: The health ministry this evening confirmed 26 recoveries, as the number of patients discharged outpaced new infections.
Seven new Covid-19 cases were recorded, pushing the total to 9,219, with 192 active cases still receiving treatment.
The total number of recoveries now stand at 8,902 or 96.6%
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said eight patients were in the intensive care unit (ICU), with two in need of respiratory assistance.
No new casualties were reported and the death toll remain at 125.
