KUCHING, Jan 26– Individuals with history of travelling to high-risk districts in Sarawak in the past two weeks have been told to go for COVID-19 screening at nearest health clinic and private hospital.

Sarawak Health director, Dr Chin Zin Hing said this involved individuals who have been to the districts of  Sri Aman, Betong, Sibu, Kanowit, Dalat, Miri, Beluru and Sebauh, to visit friends, family members or attend any wedding or funeral during the period.

“This is because there are many positive COVID-19 cases detected among residents of longhouses and those experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, sore throat, loss of smell or taste or feeling tired are told to go to the nearest health clinic for COVID-19 treatment or screening,” he said in a statement here today.
