KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 —  Airbus Malaysia has donated medical equipment to the Ministry of Health (MoH) in support of the country’s battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The medical equipment includes high-flow oxygen therapy humidifiers, syringe pumps, volumetric infusion pumps, Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) P-SH100 and standard steel wheelchairs.

“This donation is a gesture from us in Airbus in solidarity with and support for Malaysia in the quest to pandemic recovery.

“Our hearts are with all those affected, including the patients and hospital frontliners, as well as with the families of those recovering in hospitals,” said Airbus Malaysia country head Raymond Lim in a statement.

The items were handed over to MoH’s secretary-general Datuk Mohd Shafiq Abdullah by Airbus Malaysia’s head of human resources, Anita Zaki at the COVID-19 Integrated Quarantine and Treatment Centre, Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

The medical equipment will be distributed to hospitals that have been designated as COVID-19 treatment centres nationwide.
