KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — The annual general meeting (AGM) of Bersatu will be held from Nov 12 to 13, said Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

Hamzah in a statement today said the annual party branch meetings have been set to be held from Aug 19 to Sept 18, division meetings from Oct 8 to 9 and the wings general assembly from Nov 10 to 11.

He said the decision was reached at Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council (MPT) meeting on June 8 chaired by party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

According to Hamzah, the MPT meeting also decided that the party election at branch level would be postponed to another date not more than 18 months from the date the election should have been held.

“MPT also unanimously agreed to appoint Tan Sri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad as a new member of MPT,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bersatu had asked the government to take comprehensive measures to curb the rising prices of goods and ensure adequate supply of daily necessities.

According to Hamzah, Bersatu would be expanding its people caring aid programme including community farm programme now being implemented in several areas.
