JOHOR BAHRU, Aug 17 — The Johor Health Department has instructed the Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI) bakery here to reduce the price of its bread following a complaint from a customer.

Johor health director Datuk Dr Aman Rabu said the department investigated the complaint, which was posted on Facebook on Monday, and found that the bread was overpriced.

“In this connection, the management has issued the company a warning letter and instructed it to reduce the price to an appropriate level.

“The hospital management will conduct regular checks to ensure bread is sold at a reasonable price,” he said in a statement today.

He gave an assurance that the hospital management was always concerned about the welfare and well-being of staff and patients at the hospital.

Facebook account holder Choudhry Sundaram Padiachee uploaded a picture of a chicken sausage bun bought at the bakery when making the complaint.
