KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 — Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli today submitted the Mid-Term Review of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP MTR) document to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The document handover session marks the completion of the 12MP MTR document preparation prior to its tabling by the Prime Minister in Parliament on Sept 11, 2023, the Economy Ministry said in a Facebook post today.
“The document’s preparation has taken nearly a year to be completed, involving all stakeholders including the ministries, government agencies, private sector, international bodies, civil society organisations and public,” the ministry said.
The 12MP MTR is a significant policy document in determining the direction of the national socioeconomic development that is balanced in mental, spiritual and physical aspects based on noble values.
The ministry said the document took its inspiration from the Madani Economy: Empowering the People framework.
Also present at the document handover session were Deputy Economy Minister Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, the ministry’s secretary general Datuk Nor Azmie Diron, and deputy secretary general (policy) Datuk Dr Zunika Mohamed.
