MOSCOW, Oct 25 — China and the United States are two major nations and how they get along with each other in the future is crucial for the world, Chinese President Xi Jinping said, reported Sputnik.
“As two major countries in the world, China and the United States can find a right way to get along with each other for world peace and development, and the future of humanity,” Xi said in a letter to participants of the annual gala dinner hosted by the National Committee on US-China Relations, as read by Chinese ambassador to the US, Xie Feng, on Tuesday.
China is ready to promote mutually beneficial relations with the US based on principles of mutual respect, while resolving bilateral issues in an appropriate way and take joint efforts to tackle global challenges, the Chinese leader added.
On Monday, the US State Department said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken would host Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Washington from Oct 26 to 28 for talks on an array of issues.
